How to Login Wakefield College Moodle Course ?
If you want to login moodle you will need the username and password of the Wakefield College so get it from the University first and then you login to moodle.

Saving work
Wakefield College have students coming in to see us every day about lost or corrupt files on USB pens/hard drives, please try and avoid storing work on these devices if you can.
Instead try and save your work to either your H drive, files stored on College servers or OneDrive, files stored in the Office 365 cloud. On College PCs OneDrive can be accessed in the following ways:
- Via the Moodle ‘OneDrive’ tile
- The ‘OneDrive’ desktop icon
- The O drive under File Explorer
- Access directly from within Microsoft Office apps
Files in your OneDrive can be accessed from any PC, phone or tablet either from Moodle. Go to moodle.wakefield.ac.uk and click on the ‘OneDrive’ tile or from Office mobile apps.
Free Microsoft Office
With Office 365 every student can install Microsoft Office software at home on up to five devices, Windows PCs/Apple Macs, tablets and smartphones. To install your free copy on your personal computer go to office365.wakefield.ac.uk, sign in with your College username and password, and then click on the ‘Install Office 2016’ button.
You can also download free apps for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneDrive from your mobile devices app store. When prompted to sign in to these apps use your ‘student ID + wakecoll.net’ e.g. ABC15161234@wakecoll.net
College WiFi
The College’s student WiFi network is ‘Wakefield College’. After connecting you will be prompted for your College username and password. You may also be prompted to trust a certificate. Please accept this if prompted.
The College WiFi is subject to the same web filtering as found on College PCs.
You can add your College email to your mobile device. They would recommend downloading the free Outlook app for this and choose the Office 365 option when first run. When prompted to sign in use your ‘student ID + wakecoll.net’ e.g. ABC15161234@wakecoll.net.
Student Timetables on Wakefield College Moodle
All students can check their timetables on a week by week basis through My Student Record on Moodle. In the initial weeks of your course you should do this on a regular basis to check rooms and any changes which may occur.
For English and Maths GCSE for study programme students, your session will not appear on your timetable until your group has been allocated based on your assessment results. Please check this over the weekend and early next week for full details.

- You can access your timetable online via moodle site moodle.wakefield.ac.uk.
- You can remember to check here often, especially at the start of term, to make sure you are aware of any timetable changes.
- Click on the My Student Record tile on the moodle homepage.
- If you are outside college or using a personal device, you will need to login using your college username and password.
- If you are having trouble logging on see the logon tips section and select Information in the menu at the top of the page and press Lesson Timetable.
- To view a different week, then click in the box next to Week Beginning to open the calendar and select a date then click Refresh.
