What is University of Chester ?
The University of Chester is a public university located in Cheste, England in United Kingdom. The university originated as the first purpose-built teacher training college in the UK. As a university, it now occupies five campus sites in and around Chester, one in Warrington, and a University Centre in Shrewsbury. They offers a range of foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as undertaking academic research.

Chester Moodle is the university of chester virtual learning course environment and access to this Moodle module spaces is open to all staff and students with a network account.

To login to Chester Moodle you need to enter the username and password of the University of Chester, so you can login to Chester Moodle by following the steps given below.
- First Open this webpage link moodle.chester.ac.uk.
- Enter your Username and Password in the field.
- Then click on the ‘Sign in‘ button.
Please sign in using your University Network Account username and password.
All staff, students and visitors have a University Network Account, however this does not offer all services to all users. You will only be presented with the services you are authorised to access.
Forgot or Reset Chester Moodle Password
You can reset your password by entering either your username & email address field, then clicking the Search button. If your account can be found, an email will be sent to your email address with a link to reset your password.
They can help you get back into your account. This service is currently provided to students and alumni only. Staff need to contact the LIS Helpdesk to verify their identity.
- First Open this Forgot Password Link.
- Enter your Username (Type just the 7 or 9 digit number, with no prefix).
- Enter your Surname and Personal Email (This is your personal email address that you told us about when you enrolled, and not your University email).
- Issue Your Birth-date and click on the ‘Next’ button.
- Answer the other questions presented. If you do not know your username or you are a member of staff, please contact LIS Helpdesk.

Chester Learning and Information Services offers a wide range of IT and library services on behalf of the University at the campuses in Chester, Thornton Science Park, Warrington, Shrewsbury and at the Faculty of Health and Social Care Education Centres at Marriss House and in Leighton Hospital.
They manage a high speed internet connection which you’ll use for your studies and entertainment whilst at the University.
The network provides a managed web service in halls of residence (ResNET), a Virtual Learning Environment (Portal), hundreds of computers around the University for you to use in Open Access Suites, follow Multi-functional printer, copier, scanners and a wireless network in many buildings so you can connect and print from your own laptop almost anywhere.
They hold extensive collections of books and journals to support University teaching and research, plus audio-visual and IT resources to help staff and students prepare learning materials and produce assignments and dissertations.

The team of advisers can offer you a range of ways to help you to develop your academic skills, including: the provision of online resources, remote support through the Feed forward e-assistance service, seminars on a range of study skills topics, and tailored one-to-one appointments.
