The NAIT moodle assignment activity module lets you collect students’ work, review it, grade it, and provide feedback. Four types of assignments can be set up.
Advanced Uploading of Files
- Allows multiple file submission, permitting students to add a note to their submission or to revise and re-upload, and instructors can return a response file with feedback.
Online Text
- Asks students to compose and edit text using the normal editing tools.
- The online text assignment can be set up either to allow learners to compose, revise, and edit over time or to allow learners only one opportunity to enter a response.
- Furthermore, with the online assignment, instructors can grade the work online and even edit and/or provide comments within the learner’s work.
- The online text assignment is ideal for journaling and composition work.
Upload a Single File
- Students can upload a single file such as a Word document, spreadsheet, or anything digital. Multiple files can be zipped and submitted.
- After learners upload their files in this format, the instructor can open the submission and use the
- Moodle NAIT interface to assign a grade and offer feedback.
Offline Activity
- Useful when the assignment is performed outside of Moodle NAIT.
- It could be something elsewhere on the web or face-to-face.
- Students can see a description of the assignment, and a column is created in the Grader Report for instructor use, but files are not directly uploaded.
- Grading works normally, and students receive notification of their grades.

NAIT Moodle is the learning platform you can use for many of the online courses. If your course will be delivered through Moodle NAIT, you can access it by clicking the Moodle NAIT Course button right in your MyNAIT portal account.
When can I enrol in my courses?
Course enrolment is scheduled for early summer. Once enrolment dates are finalized, the Office of the Registrar will notify students via email and e-letter.
