What is ILSC Assessments ?
All units studied in this qualification will be evaluated in at least 3 different ways. The assessment will consist of a combination of quiz, project, case study, presentation and questions.

How to Assessment Submission on ILSC Moodle ?

All assignments tasks for each unit must be submitted in accordance with the assessment schedule. - Step 3
Please read assessments very carefully. The assessment types and guides are different from unit to unit and they must be followed exactly. - Step 4
All assessments must be clearly marked with the unit details, the specific task details, student name and student number. - Step 5
If the assessment is late, ILSC may charge a fee of $50. - Step 6
If the assessment is not yet competent and needs to be resubmitted ILSC may charge a $50 re submission fee.
Assessment resubmission
You have 6 weeks from the end of the unit to submit all assessments. Students deemed Not Satisfactory may revise and resubmit that assessment twice a total of 3 attempts within the 6 week period. If a student does not complete the assessment within the period provided, their access to the unit will be restricted and they will only be allowed to resubmit after payment of the late/resubmission fee.
Extensions
If you require an extension of time you need to contact the VET staff before the assessment due date to discuss your options. Please do not ask your trainer for an extension. Your trainer cannot give you an extension. Only VET Admin Staff can grant an extension.
Assessment results
You will receive an email informing you when the assessment has been categorized. When you receive an email you should immediately login to your MOODLE account to check your results. If the result is Satisfactory, you have completed this part of the assessment.
However, if the result is Not Satisfactory or Not Yet Competent, you need to read the assessors comments on MOODLE to find out what you need to do. You can also ask your trainer or attend assessment support classes. You should check the results as soon as possible and follow up so that you do not fall behind. And you can check your results and course progress on MOODLE at any time.
You assessment results are confidential at all times and we will not give them to any other party unless you ask us to do so, in writing.
Special consideration
Special consideration is given only in serious and exceptional circumstances that are beyond the student’s control. These circumstances prevent the student from performing best for a specific assessment. If you ask for special consideration you will need to provide supporting documentation, such as a medical certificate, statutory declaration, etc.
Assessment Records Access & Release of Results
Your results for each unit will be recorded on your Moodle account. You may access these results at any time. You can also access your personal records at any time. To do this you must make a written request and present photo identification to Student Services.
Reasonable adjustments
ILSC provides an inclusive learning environment and offers ‘reasonable adjustments’ to learning and assessment processes. Careful consideration will be given to any requests, however these adjustments cannot compromise the integrity of competency based training and assessment.
Appeals and Complaints
If at any time during your study at ILSC you are dissatisfied with any academic decision, procedures or any issues that relate to the successful completion of your program, you can access ILSC’s complaints and appeals processing via the online link, or speak with an ILSC counsellor. Any student who thinks they are being disadvantaged in their study by such a decision, process or issue will be entitled to have it reviewed by the director of Training.
The characteristics of the ILSC appeal system include simplicity, speed and fairness, and incorporate a four stage process involving the assessor initially, then the Director of Training, the Campus Director and finally an independent person or panel where necessary. Students will have 21 days to file an appeal after an assessment decision has been sent to the participant regarding any unit of eligibility or qualification.
Issuing of Qualifications and Statements of Attainment
ILSC will only issue AQF Qualifications and Statements of Attainment for courses within its scope of registration. On completion of a course, students are to be issued with appropriate certification, authorised by the Director of Training, or a delegated staff member, within 30 days of the last unit marked. ILSC is not bound to issue a statement of eligibility or statement of the student until all student fees have been paid in full.
- Qualification: Issued under the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) for nationally recognised training. Full qualification can be issued only when the student is considered competent in all the relevant units making the qualification.
- Record of results: With qualifications issued under the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) for nationally accredited training. This document lists all units of eligibility obtained for eligibility.
- Statement of Attainment (SOA): Issued under the AQF for nationally recognised training. Can only be issued if a learner successfully completes one or more units of competency or modules or an accredited short course, but does not meet the requirements for a qualification. The Procurement Statement will list all units of the aptitude or modules received.
Certificates and SOAs can be collected from the reception 30 days after the last marked unit of the course. ILSC will post documents to students at their expense only at the nominated postal address as shown in their student login account. They not send Certificates to anyone else without your written permission. It is your responsibility ensure that ILSC has your correct address.
Certificate Replacement
Requests for replacement of Certificates and Statements of Attainment must be made to the VET Administration Team of your campus in writing. A replacement fee of $50.00 and shipping costs apply.
Greystone College Resources, Tools, and Supports
Greystone College hold an orientation for all new students. You will be notified of this by email. It is important that you attend the orientation to make sure you meet your schedule, study needs, trainers and visit campus.
At this point, you should consider applying for Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) accreditation. Applications must be submitted within six weeks of the start of the course.
You will also need to complete some documentation for using the Learning Management System Moodle. The student advisors can help you do this. You will also need to apply for a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
All students receiving nationally accredited training are required to be USI. The USI is a reference number made up of 10 numbers and letters that:
- Create a secure online record of your nationally recognized training and qualifications in Australia.
- Gives you 24 hours of online access to your training records and transcripts.
- Is free and easy to create and stays with you for life.
If you are a new or ongoing student receiving nationally accredited training, you need USI to qualify for your achievement statement. If you do not have USI, you will not receive a statement of eligibility or receipt.
Once you arrive in Australia as an international student your visa will be activated and you will be able to apply for USI. You will also receive a reminder email from Greystone College team.

What happens if you fall behind?
All students must maintain satisfactory course progress. You need to achieve a minimum 50% competency of the course during a study period. Continuous breach of this condition may lead to expulsion and reporting to the Department of Education/Department of Home Affairs.
